Spin-lattice coupling induced weak dynamical magnetism in EuTiO3 at high temperatures

چکیده
EuTiO3, which is a G-type antiferromagnet below TN = 5.5 K, has some fascinating properties at high temperatures, suggesting that macroscopically hidden dynamically fluctuating weak magnetism exists at high temperatures. This conjecture is substantiated by magnetic field dependent magnetization measurements, which exhibit pronounced anomalies below 200 K becoming more distinctive with increasing magnetic field strength. Additional results from muon spin rotation (μSR) experiments provide evidence for weak fluctuating bulk magnetism induced by spin-lattice coupling which is strongly supported in increasing magnetic field.

Weak quasistatic magnetism in the frustrated Kondo lattice Pr2Ir2O7
Muon spin relaxation experiments have been performed in the pyrochlore iridate Pr2Ir2O7 for temperatures in the range 0.025– 250 K. Kubo-Toyabe relaxation functions are observed up to & 200 K, indicating static magnetism over this temperature range. The T → 0 static muon spin relaxation rate ∆(0) ≈ 8 μs implies a weak quasistatic moment (∼0.1μB). The temperature dependence of ∆ is highly non-me...
متن کاملFerromagnetism and interlayer exchange coupling in thin metallic films
This thesis is concerned with the ferromagnetic Kondo lattice (s-d, s-f) model for film geometry. The spin-fermion interaction of this model refers to substances in which localized spins interact with mobile charge carriers like in (dilute) magnetic semiconductors, manganites, or rare-earth compounds. The carrier-mediated, indirect interaction between the localized spins comprises the long-rang...
متن کاملMagnetic influence on the frequency of the soft-phonon mode in the incipient ferroelectric EuTiO3
The dielectric constant of the incipient ferroelectric EuTiO3 exhibits a sharp decrease at about 5.5K, at which temperature antiferromagnetic ordering of the Eu spins simultaneously appears, indicating coupling between the magnetism and dielectric properties. This may be attributed to the modification of the soft-phonon mode, T1μ, which is the main contribution to the large dielectric constant,...

Spin-polarized electronic and transport properties of Armchair GraphdiyneNanoribbons (A-GDYNR) with single vacancy (SV), two types of configurations fordouble vacancy (DV1, DV2) and multi vacancy (MV) defects are studied by nonequilibriumGreen’s function (NEGF) combined with density functional theory (DFT).The results demonstrate that the A-GDYNR with the SV has the lowe...

It is a common knowledge that the formation of electron pairs is a necessary ingredient of any theoretical work describing superconductivity. Thus, finding the mechanism of the formation of the electron pairs is of utmost importance. There are some experiments on high transition temperature superconductors which support the electron-phonon (e-ph) interactions as the pairing mechanism (ARPES),...
